Spring Birding in the Siamese Ponds Wilderness

By Dr. Ellen Voss, Member

The Siamese Ponds Wilderness, adjacent to ClubADK, is one of the finest birding destinations in the northeast during spring migration.

May and early June transform the Adirondacks into a birder's paradise. Over 200 species have been recorded in the Siamese Ponds area.

Highlights to watch for: Canada Warbler, Bicknell's Thrush, Common Loon, and Black-backed Woodpecker.

Bring 8x42 binoculars, download the Merlin Bird ID app, and plan to be on trail by 5:30 AM for peak activity.
